Linda J. Klepinger 69

Mrs. Linda J. Klepinger 69 of Rochester passed away unexpectedly at Woodlawn Hospital on Saturday morning, October 17, 2020.

 

In Peru, on April 5, 1951, Linda Jo Fouts was born.  She was the treasured daughter of Lewis and Rosalee Hessong Fouts.   Growing up as the middle child she shared her childhood with two brothers Dwight and Scott.  In 1969 Linda graduated with her class from Maconaquah High School.

 

On October 23, 1971, Linda married the love of her life Mr. Stephen A. Klepinger in Peru.  Later this week they would have celebrated 49 years of life's adventures.  From their union came three wonderful children.  The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of eight grandchildren.

 

Linda's memberships include a member of the First Christian Church.  She was also a member of the "Crusaders," Sunday School class.  She enjoyed flower gardening annually planting gardens around her home to add color to the landscape. An avid reader, she read countless fictional novels.  The past three consecutive years, Linda read the Bible, annually from cover to cover.

 

In 2009, Linda was gifted with life when she received a kidney for transplantation at the Lutheran Transplant Center.  She persevered enjoying 12 additional years of life.  Linda was a tissue donor through the Indiana Donor's Network. Her donation will enhance the lives of up to 75 people.

 

Steve and Linda enjoyed traveling to Maine in the autumn.  She savored Lobster rolls and the beauty of the fall color during their excursions.  Paramount in Grandma Linda's life was her family.  She enjoyed preparing the feast for the holidays and special family celebrations while getting together, making memories.

 

 

Left to cherish Linda's memory are her husband Steve, a daughter Christi Callane and husband Jamey of Peru,  two sons: Tony Klepinger and wife Julie of South Whitley, Ryan Klepinger and wife Hannah of Peru; 8 grandchildren: Josie Callane, Jude Callane, Reagan Klepinger, Reese Klepinger,  Emma Klepinger, Natalie Klepinger, Sarah Klepinger and Jacob Klepinger; a brother Scott Fouts and wife Myra of Fredericksburg, VA.  

 

Preceding her in death are her parents Lewis and Rosalee Fouts and a brother Dwight Fouts.

 

A celebration of the life of Mrs. Linda J. Klepinger will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 22, 2020 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th Street, Rochester.  Pastor Mike VanHeyningen will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Ever-Rest Cemetery near Logansport.  Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to the services. Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Lutheran Hospital, Kidney Transplant Center, 7916 West Jefferson Blvd., Ft.
